Constituency Watch: Two Years Assessment of MP For Manso Nkwanta

Joseph Albert Quarm interacting with Peacefmonline.com has expressed his gratitude to President Akufo-Addo’s government for working with Ghana First Company Limited to construct 43 toilet facilities with 20-seater and bathrooms within the Amansie West District; thus, the company has assured to increase the number of toilet facilities if the 43 are completed on time.

He added that the $1million per constituency policy headed by Hawa Koomson, Minister for Special Development Initiative has also constructed a toilet facility at Manso Nsiana, making the number of toilet facilities more than 43.

Mentioning the number of projects he has lobbied for and done for his constituency within two years as a Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta constituency, Hon. Joseph Albert Quarm said he has also supplied 180 pieces of Ultra Modern LED streetlights across the constituency.

He has also helped evacuate heaped domestic waste at Pakyi No.2 market, as well as supplied Science and Maths textbooks for both Esase Bontefufuom and Mansoman SHS, as well as supplied sports materials to the 5 Circuits in the district.

Albert Quarm has supplied 5 motorbikes to the 5 Circuit Supervisors of the District Education Directorate to help in constant monitoring of teachers who report to work late and close early.

He again has supplied health equipment, beds and renovated some health centres in the constituency like the Antoakrom Health centre which has not been renovated for the past 70 years when it was only maternity ward.

He has rehabilitated Ahwerewa, Mpatuom, Gyeninso and Akataniase roads and lobbied for the construction of a 23km road from Pakyi No.2 to Antoakrom, 7.2km road from Asamang junction through Yawkrom, Kwankyeabo to Agroyesum.

In two years in office, Hon. Albert Quarm has organised free MP’s vacation classes for students of both Mansoman SHS and Esase Bontefufuom SHS and also lobbied for the construction of a Six Unit Classroom Block at Mpatuom as well as lobbied for school bus for Mansoman SHS.

“When I took over the seat, I saw that Mansoman SHS had no Boys Dormitory since government took over the community school in 1974 and so I have lobbied for the construction of 8 Unit Boys Dormitory which will take care of 240 students with the aim of assisting the Free SHS policy,” he mentioned.

Speaking to the assistant Headmaster, Administration of Mansoman SHS, Mr. Nuhu Bukari, said the 8 Unit Boys Dormitory is timely intervention as it will go a long way to assist in the Free SHS policy; thus, three classrooms had been converted to a dormitory to house the boys.

Some of the things Hon. Joseph Albert Quarm has done for his constituents includes supply of Ultra Modern School Furniture to Abodom and Abore Primary Schools, lobbied for the construction of Telecommunications Mast at Abodom to boost telephone services and lobbied for construction of 26km road from Nkawie Wiaso through Ahwerewa, Essuowin, Moseaso to Antoakrom.

He again lobbied for the construction of 24km road from Moseaso junction to Trabuom and construction of small town water projects at Adwumam, Pakyi and Bonteso as well as erecting telecommunications mast for the people of Adwumam after several years of bad network.
