#BringBackOurTaadiGirls: We Are On Top Of Issues...Give Us Time - Police

The Police command in the Western Region says they are determined to find the three girls kidnapped in the regional capital, Takoradi.

At a press briefing on Wednesday, 23 January 2019, the Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP Vincent Redeemer Dedzo, asked parents and the general public to have patience because "criminal investigations are a gradual process"

“They (kidnappers) go online to read the news and these kidnappers are professionals. When they realise some people have been arrested, they may go away and not come back to Ghana, but we can say we are making efforts and I know we will get to the bottom of this. For those who don’t know our procedures, you’ll be thinking it should happen tomorrow, but it is never done like that. Criminal investigations are a gradual process…” he noted.

So far three girls have been kidnapped even though some residents claim they (girls) are more than that.

The three are: 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, last seen on 17 August 2018; 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, last seen on 4 December 2018; and 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, last seen on 21 December 2018.
