PETER Beyalme, a 62-year-old man, has reported to the Yeji police that a guy known as Kwame has raped and impregnated his daughter – a junior high school student.
The girl, 15, (name withheld) who attends Roman Catholic JHS at Yeji in the Brong Ahafo Region, told the father that after Kwame had forcibly had sex with her, it eventually resulted in pregnancy. Kwame gave her a certain concoction to drink to abort the pregnancy.
When she took the concoction, she bled profusely. She then informed her father about the incident and both of them reported it to the police in the area.
Knowing what he had done, Kwame absconded and the police are looking for him.
Police said efforts were underway to get him arrested to face possible prosecution. Regional Police Spokesman, Chief Inspector Augustine Oppong, confirmed this to DAILY GUIDE in an interview.
