Former President John Mahama was in Yendi to witness the coronation of the new Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari Mahama II.
Also at the ceremony were the Chairman and General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Johnson Asiedu Nketia, respectively.
The investiture of the overlord is expected to bring to an end the protracted chieftaincy dispute between the Abudu and Andani royal families.
