Samini Goes To School In UK

Ghanas rising Afro-Raggae star and reigning best performer in Africa Emmanuel Samini simply known as Samini is gone back to School. Samini has now enrolled at the Point Blank Music College in London to expand his musical horizon. He left the shores of Ghana on Wednesday January 14 to begin intensive theory and practical music studies on Friday 16th January 2010. The Music of Black Origin (MOBO) award winner is pursuing a three months long Introduction to Music Production course at the UK based college. In a telephone chat with Samini from his UK base, he had a big laugh and wondered how we got the information. Yes it is true I am presently in school in London to learn more about my profession, he confessed. Asked why he has decided to go to school now that his fans in Ghana expects to see him more and possibly get something new from him in a year, Samini said I know my fans in Ghana will be wondering where I am and what is going on with me, but I guess this settles it all. Ill be away for just three months I will be in Ghana before they know it. For the past years that I have been doing music, I always sit beside the technical producers (sound engineers) and watch them press several buttons in the studio and I have no idea how they come up with the beats. So I have decided to take this course to give me a good and professional idea of music production and all that it involves. I want to be able to show the producer the exact tones I want. I want to be able to produce my own beats and record songs myself, Samini stated. The course includes practical training in music production, sound engineering, mixing and vocal delivery; learning how to use the right keys and general music production to the finished product. Samini who had already started guitar lessons in Ghana, said he would master his guitar playing skills in the UK before he comes back to Ghana. Point Blank Music College is located on 23-28 Penn Street, London, N1 5DL, within easy traveling distance of many world-famous clubs, bars and music venues. His upcoming fourth album features artistes from Senegal, South Africa, UK, Nigeria, Kenya, and his colleagues in Ghana. According to Samini, a single from his new album titled Holiday will be released in Ghana, whiles he is away. To his fans back home in Ghana, Samini said they should keep praying for me, and they should expect my album. I have a lot of surprises for them on the album. I want to tell them that I will always fly the flag of Ghana high at any corner I go to, on this earth. Akyisaaaaa.
