NDC Should Come For A Tour At Ghana Publishing Company - MD

Managing Director of Ghana Publishing Company Limited, David Asante has disclosed his outfit does not demand any apologies from the NDC for daunting its credibility.

He stressed it is a perfect decision for aspiring flagbearers of the opposition NDC to suggest the services of the state owned printing press to its party leaders to print the up-coming election ballot papers.

“We think there is a lot of wisdom in the position the men have taken. Comments made by the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC was uncalled-for and divisive, he must be condemned and must come again,” he said.

Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Peter Boamah Otokunor has accused the state printing press of not delivering good jobs.

Mr. Asante in an interview with Citi FM news disclosed the company was heavily indebted under the watch of former President John Dramani Mahama and his government, but have now been paid-off by the current government.

“This is a company that was huddled with over four million Ghana cedis worth of tax liability in the previous leadership by the NDC, but as I speak now we have cleared all arrears and put the company on proper footing to meet modern standard in printing and publishing,” he insisted.

He said they [state printing press] are ever ready to work with the NDC and never politicize their services rendered.

“However we will want to put it on record that the institution in the last years has not been politicized, so the NDC should bring their printings to us and we will give them a better deal and discount even if they so desire. We are also inviting the leadership of the NDC to come and take a tour through the company and compare it to how they left it two years ago and appreciate what the potential flagbearers’ are calling for,” he stated.
