"Equity And Fairness" Shall Guide Our Work - NDC Election Committee To Flagbearer Hopefuls

In the spirit of ensuring greater participation in the processes leading to the party's presidential primaries scheduled for February 23, 2019, and in reponse to the letter written by six aspirants, the Electoral Committee of the National Democratic Congress has met with the flagbearer aspirants.

The Chairman of the Election Committee of the NDC, Mr. Kofi Attor, has therefore assured aspirants that the party will be guided by the principle of "equity and fairness" as they dispense their duties in preparation towards the presidential primaries.

The assurance comes after the election committee members met with the various aspirants who had raised objection to the party's modality in printing their ballot papers for the primaries.

The meeting discussed thoroughly all the modalities that will govern the printing and distribution of electoral materials as well as the election day activities.

He explained that the issue of voters register was aslo ironed out with all parties agreeing on the best way forward.

In a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com, the NDC stated that its "electoral committee wishes to assure all party members that equity and fairness shall guide our work to ensure that the NDC comes out of the presidential primaries stronger and poised to work towards securing victory in 2020."

Specifically, Ekow Spio Garbrah, Sylvester Mensah, and Alban Bagbin were present while former President HE John Dramani Mahama, Goosie Tanoh, Prof. Joshua Alabi and Alhaji Nurudeen Iddrissu were represented by their accredited agents."

The meeting was held at the party's headquarters in Adabraka, on Wednesday, 30th January, 2019.
