"We Are the World" To Be Re-Recorded For Haiti

The music world hasn't forgotten about the ongoing crisis in Haiti. In fact, following last week's all-star telethon, another all-star collaboration has been confirmed: a remake of the classic charity single "We Are the World." Producer Quincy Jones confirmed that the single will be re-recorded in Los Angeles on Monday, with proceeds going to Haiti relief. "It's the 25th anniversary and it's perfect timing," Jones said. "It's not an accident, man. That's God. It will be 'We Are the World' for Haiti." The original single -- with Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen and scores of other superstars -- raised money for famine relief in Africa back in 1985. Jones wouldn't name this year's lineup, but E! claims that singers may include Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Sheryl Crow and others. Director Paul Haggis may film the recording session, a source says.
