A security analyst says government must compensate the injured in the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

He says, if they are not compensated, they should "go to court".

About 13 members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were injured following a shootout at La Bawaleshie polling centre; Ayawaso.

The shooting incident by some security forces wearing masks; which has been widely condemned, took place close to the residence of the NDC candidate taking part in the by-election.

Mr Adam Bonaa speaking to the issue said the so called National Security operatives are responsible for their injury and hence must be settled in one form or the other.

Mr Bonaa who was speaking in an interview on Class FM Monday, said: “they need compensation, counseling…that is the only way nations learn how to behave with civilians; or else I want to urge them to go to court if the nation doesn’t take the lead to compensate them”
