Shameful Minority Behaving Like KG Kids; They Can Even Cease Going To Parliament - Sam Payne

Ashanti Regional Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party, Sam Payne has lambasted the Minority in Parliament for branding their colleague Parliamentarian for Ayawaso West Wuogon as a "bloody widow".

The Minority on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 brandished placards with bold inscription "bloody widow" to protest the election of the wife of the late Ayawaso West Wuogon Member of Parliament, Lydia Seyram Alhassan as substantive replacement for the constituency seat.

To register their displeasure, the Minority walked out in Parliament during the swearing in of Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Hon Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

Addressing the issue on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Sam Payne condemned in no uncertain terms, the actions by the Minority accusing them of behaving like "Kingdergaten kids".

According to him, whether the Minority likes it or not, Madam Seyram Alhassan remains the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and their protest will cause no significant changes.

They should cease being present in Parliament because she (Lydia) will go to Parliament every day. She hasn’t contravened any law of Ghana”, he said.

To him, the Minority should bow their heads in shame for calling the widow "bloody" when she stood for elections and her constituents preferred her over the NDC candidate.

It’s a shame. The NDC members didn’t do well. They were like KG people misbehaving because their teacher is absent,” he added.
