"National Security Cannot Have A Standing Force" . . . Disband These "Criminals" - Brogya

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Thursday, February 7, 2019 embark on demonstration to register their displeasure at the violent attacks meted out to their members during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM "Kokrokoo", Brogya Genfi disclosed that the NDC and other opposition parties will petition the Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery and Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Asante-Apeatu over the violence that transpired during the by-elections.

The party, he noted, wants the security leaders to expose and disband the security personnel who perpetrated the violence during the by-election.

According to him, the NDC will form an Inter-party Coalition for National Security to register "our displeasure with what has gone on and to demand that there must be thorough investigation, a Commission for that matter; to look into this matter and to get these criminals disbanded from our security agencies because national security cannot have a standing force”.

He believed the protest will yield positive results because the NDC will not back down until sanctions are meted out to the security personnel.
