Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini who was ordered out of parliament today (Wednesday) for disrupting proceedings of parliament says it is just like a tap on his shoulder.

He says this cannot deter him from doing what he is supposed to do or say in parliament.

In an interview with Peace FM News after he had been ushered out of the chamber, he could not fathom why the  speaker will take such an entrenched position.

“If they think they can intimidate us from speaking our mind as parliamentarians so far as issues of Ayawaso West Wuogon is concerned we will continue to ask for what is right in parliament,” he said.

“How was what I was doing disrupting proceedings. Many others did that. Why was it Suhuyini? . . . What got to him is the truth I spoke about what properly should have been done which was to refer those who were holding the placards to the privileges committee.”

“. . And I shouted that they will go and join Kennedy Agyapong and whatever their side is doing for Kennedy Agyapong, our side will do for our people and he saw the truth in it and he couldn’t stand it and he said I should walk out,” he explained.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North constituency, Suhuyini Alhassan was on Wednesday ordered to leave the Chambers after disrupting Parliamentary proceedings.

According to Peace FM's Parliamentary correspondent, Emmanuel Akorli, Hon Suhuyini started interfering with proceedings after the Majority Members in Parliament asked the minority side to apologise to the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan for calling her a 'bloody widow'.

1st Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei-Owusu describing the Tamale North MP's conduct as 'unparliamentary' asked the ushers to direct him out of the House.
