Minister for Inner-Cities and Zongo Development, Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid on  Saturday, 9th February, 2019, Addressed A Capacity Building Conference For The Governing Council Of The Islamic Education Unit Of Ghana Education Service.

The Conference, Organized In Accra By Policy Think Tank, Baraka Policy Institute Was On The Theme “Effective Partnership For Quality Education Delivery In Ghana: The Role Of Faith-Based Stakeholders”.

The Minister's Discussion With The Participants Centered On The Challenges Affecting Schools In The Unit Especially On Low Enrollments, Poor Academic Performance, Dilapidated Schools, Logistical Challenges Amongst Others.

Dr. Abdul-Hamid Reiterated His Commitment To Making Education The Prime Objective For The Ministry Of Inner City And Zongo Development. He Told The Participants That The Islamic Education Unit Of Ghana Education Service Was The Natural Ally Of His Ministry In Achieving Government's Broad Educational Objectives For The Zongo And Inner City Communities In Ghana.

He Assured The Gathering That When The General Manager For The Unit, Mr. Abdul Karim Bapuni, Submits A Comprehensive List Of Schools With Challenges, The Ministry Will Commit To Addressing Them Immediately.
