'Love Is Not About Sex . . . The Curves, Hips & Boobs Shouldn’t Tempt You' - Dr Boadi Nyamekye Advices

Head Pastor of The Maker's House Chapel International (TMHCI), Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, says the idea of Saint Valentine's Day is not about “sex”.

According to him, the day was set aside to show genuine love to the needy, partners and married couples.

Each year on February 14, people exchange cards, candy or flowers with their special 'valentine'.

St. Valentine's Day is named after a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century.

The idea of the occasion has however been twisted across the world – majority of the youth in Ghana used the ocassion to engage in sexual activities until government declared the day as 'Chocolate Day'.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye noted that most Ghanaian men are showing lust instead of love on Valentine's day and any other day.

“Love is not about sex,” he said on Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Adding that, “If anybody tells you that he loves you and cannot wait and ask you for sex, then that is not love, it is lust. The curves, the hips, the boobs, the height and colour shouldn’t tempt you to fall, rather, love the person genuinely.”

“True love is kind, patience and long suffering. You have to wait until the right things are done,” he added.
