National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Upper West Akyem in the Eastern Region has uncovered a plot by some constituents to assassinate him.

Hon. Derek Ohene Bekoe Asifo said the assassination plot was hatched by some members of his party who think he is being “a thorn in their flesh”.

His only luck was a whistleblower who was part of those who allegedly mastered the plot.
 
The Upper West Akyem MP quoted the source that leaked the assassination plot as saying that Bekoe’s elimination must be with “immediate effect” for a by-election in Upper West Akim.

“If you feel you want to beat me, meet me in elections and beat me; don’t eliminate me. What even shows that when you kill me, you will win the by-election” he quizzed.

Hon. Ohene Bekoe was grateful to God for exposing the wicked people around him.
