The Special Aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Andy Owusu, has charged the security agency to arrest the former President, John Dramani Manama, over the killing of a member of the NDC in Kumasi.
Andy Owusu argues that the former President's 'Boot for Boot' mantra is the cause of the Monday's incident which has led to the death of a party member and another injured.
There were reported sporadic gun shots at the Ashanti Regional Office of the opposition party during a meeting attended by the National Chairman and General Secretary of the party.
A group, believed to be members of the NDC Vigilante group, The Hawks, was said to have carried out the dastardly act in an action said largely to have been motivated by the former President's Boot for Boot mantra.
Against this background, Andy Owusu is accusing Former President Mahama of inciting violent amongst the supporters.
According to him, if the same logic being used against Hon. Kennedy Agyapong in the murder of the investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale, is to be applied here, then the Former President ought to be blamed for the violent incident that occurred at the party office in the Ashanti Region.
"Let those who called for the head of Hon. Agyapong also do same for Former President Mahama because he also incited violent" Andy argued.
