Ayawaso West Wuogon Violence Was 'Orchestrated And Implemented' By Gov't – Mintah Akandoh

Member of Parliament [MP] for Juaboso Constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has said the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence cannot be associated with systematic failure as claimed in the public domain.

“It was an orchestrated and implemented action by the government in power,” he said.

According to him he is extremely shocked that members of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] keep saying President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should be praised for setting up a Commission of Inquiry following the just ended by-election violence.

Discussing work done so far by the Commission of Inquiry on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ newspaper panel discussion segment, Hon. Mintah Akandoh noted that per his monitoring and having listened to seven people who have so far appeared before the Commission, he feels “the reason behind the incident is misplaced and confused for human understanding”.

“I say this because I know for fact that the greatest weapon used by a National Security Officer is his/her ID card and not weapons as we saw during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election,” he added.
