NDC Presidential Primaries Must Be Free & Fair - Fmr Bawku Central MP Aspirant

Former Parliamentary aspirant for Bawku Central, Alhaji Dori has wished all the Presidential aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) well ahead of the party's Primaries.

Seven aspirants filed to contest the flagbearership of the NDC.

They include; former President John Dramani Mahama, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin; former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Joshua Alabi; former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah; former Trade Minister Ekwow Spio-Garbrah; businessman Nurideen Iddrisu and cadre, Goosie Tanoh.

The NDC will hold its Presidential Primaries on Saturday, February 23, 2019 across the 275 constituencies in the country.

The NDC Stalwart, Alhaji Dori has called on the aspirants to allow for free, fair and peaceful elections.

"As a Democratic Party, let us respect the various choices and decisions the delegates Will make with a free, fair and open mindedness in the entire electoral process," he told Peacefmonline.com Wednesday morning.

He is hopeful the "NDC as a political party will go into this presidential primaries with a common purpose of electing a candidate who can lead the party into the 2020 general elections with a United front and a formidable team with the ultimate aim of recapturing power from the NPP".

Alhaji Dori asked the party leadership and all the aspirants as well as delegates and supporters to "aid the process in ensuring that this exercise (Presidential primaries) becomes successful across all 275 constituencies".
