NCCE Condemn Shooting At NDC Kumasi Office

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has condemned some disturbances at the Kumasi offices of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that led to the death of one.

The Regional Director, Mr Arthur Wilson on Tuesday in an interview with NEAT FM’s political program, ‘Torchlight’ warned that political party vigilante groups activities in recent times is a “dangerous signs” ahead of the 2020 general elections.

“NPP and NDC will collapse Ghana if they don’t stop these vigilante groups,” he told host, Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman.

Adding that, “it will be extremely difficult for us as a nation to quench a fire of national violent unrest once it gets started.”

His comments follow a shooting incident at the NDC’s party office in the Ashanti regional capital that led to the death of one person.

According to an eye witness, the assailant, associated with an NDC militia, 'the Hawks', shot the NDC man six times leading to his death.
