As African men, we fulfill our responsibility to take care of our wives and kids- that is for those who are married. Spousal insubordination doesn't mean we are an enlightened society. What the heck do you expect a man to do if a woman he clothes, gives shelter and does everything for insults his mother? Copying blindly from the West doesn't make this Third-World country an enlightened one. God created a man and a woman and gave them roles and responsibilities. If you have a different opinion, that is up to you. You can't prevent others from holding opinions that run counter to yours.

Have you asked yourself this question? Take note. Whenever a woman is crying foul about why women should not iron a man's shirt, do the dishes or do the cooking at home, she may belong to one of these groups:

1. She can't get a husband because no true African man will tolerate such insubordination

2. She is a single parent living in loneliness without the natural protection of a man or

3. She is living in a marriage worse than yours and is only luring you out of your marriage which is better.

If you think you can prevent me from saying this, then you are the biggest joke of this century!

Qur'an Chapter 4 Verse 34 says:

" Men are in charge of women by what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [on the women] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard (their chastity). But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand"

I prefer to promote God's or Allah's Law than promote ill-informed, man-made, ridiculous feminist laws.

If a woman disrespects you, your parents or tries to cut you off from your family and you sit there like 'barima kokobanku', then that's completely up to you. Not all men will accept this rubbish! And if all you can do to counter an opinion as a lady is insult, then you are only insulting yourself. I don't even realize you exist!
