I'm Innocent; Remove My Name From Wanted List - Suspect Pleads With Police After Mum Collapses

Rock, one of the suspects wanted by the police in the Ashanti region has denied his involvement in the murder of a member of the NDC vigilante groups, 'the Hawks'.

He says he is ready to submit himself to the police for questioning and further interrogation when ever they invite him.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that he had left the venue of the incident to go buy food when the incident occurred.

"I only took to my heels when I heard gun shots whilst returning to the party office, a few meters away from where I had gone to buy the food," he said.

"We were all at the party headquarters for a meeting at the invitation of the National executives when a scuffle ensued between the deceased and the other guy. The police knows the culprit so why will they decide to put all of us on a wanted list when they know very well that they can arrest the perpetrators of the heinous crime," he added.

"As am talking to you right know, my mum has collapsed and has been admitted at the hospital as a result of my picture circulating that I am a murderer and that I am wanted by the police when indeed am not."

He is pleading with the police to remove his name from the wanted list, adding that the police knows and can identify the murderer so they should concentrate their search on him not innocent ones like him.
