Govt Poised To Offer More Jobs To The Youth - Catherine Afeku

Government is bent on giving more jobs to the youth in the country as more developmental projects are being initiated, Madam Catherine Afeku, Member of Parliament(MP) for Evalue Adjomoro-Gwira has indicated.

Ghanaians must, therefore, rally behind the Akufo-Addo led government to better their living conditions.

Madam Afeku who is also the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, said this when she commissioned a modern community shed at Kokuado in the Nzema-East Municipality of the Western Region.

The shed will afford the community the opportunity to gather and socialize, deliberate on issues and foster development of the area.

Madam Afeku seized the opportunity to highlight some key developmental projects the government of the NPP had brought to the area in the last two years.

The MP mentioned the construction of a sea defence wall at Axim, the construction of an ultra-modern sports complex at Axim, a Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA) office at Ayisakro, the construction of Axim township roads and the rehabilitation of the Axim Victoria Park into ceremonial grounds among others.

Madam Afeku used the occasion to appeal to the people to be a little patient while government initiates more developmental projects to better their living conditions.

The Assembly Member for the area, Mr.  Benjamin Kankah expressed his profound appreciation to the MP for kind gesture extended to the community.

He also thanked the MP for engaging some of the youth in the construction work of the Axim township roads.
