VIDEO: Zipline Drones Safety Features In Action

As part of initiatives by the Government of Ghana to save lives, it is introducing drones to deliver blood and other medicines to health facilities in the country.

The drone technology initiated by the government is expected to be a new way to make emergency deliveries of life-saving medications to over 2,000 health facilities across the nation.

The Ministry of Health has therefore contracted Zipline, the world’s first national-scale drone delivery service, to undertake the project.

The Health Ministry and Zipline have begun briefing the public on the safety and security features of the company’s drone delivery service.

One striking feature of Zipline's drones is that deliveries are made from the sky with the drone air-dropping medicines by parachute to assigned health centers.
