I Will March Millions On The Street If IGP Fails To Arrest Ofosu-Ampofo- Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has vowed to hit the streets with millions of demonstrators if the Inspector General of Police (IGP) fails to arrest and detain the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, who is the National Chairman of the NDC was caught on tape threatening to make governance unbearable for Nana Akufo Addo by initiating moves, such as kidnapping people to make the current government unpopular.

Ever since the content of the tape was made public, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo has come under a barrage of attacks and condemnation.

Latest to join the legion of those condemning the NDC Chairman, is Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.

The NPP scribe indicated that the words of Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo should not be taken lightly since we have witnessed, in recent times, the kidnapping of innocent young girls in Takoradi. Mr. Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, urged civil societies, such as the Christian Council to come out and condemn the distasteful of Mr. Ofosu Ampofo since such motives could have a negative impact on the Ghanaian society.

He also called on the leadership of the Church of Pentecost to reprimand the NDC chief scribe, since the church doesn’t believe in evil.

“I know the Church of Pentecost does not support the perpetuation of evil. It is one church that has distinguished itself in Ghana and beyond by urging its members to live in conformity and rules which does not conflict the words and teachings of God.

The church has carved a niche for itself in dealing with its members who flaunt the teachings of God, and those who don’t promote good morals in society. “

Chairman Wontumi further called on Former President Rawlings to throw out any member of his party who does not set standards to meet the image of the NDC.

He lambasted former President Mahama fo being the catalyst who has inspired Ofosu Ampofo to develop the mindset to kidnap innocent women and children.

He also blamed former President Mahama for introducing thuggery into politics and called on mothers whose children have been kidnapped to turn their wrath on him. He sounded serious caution to the IGP to ensure Mr. Ofosu Ampofo faces the music and come to the realization that we live in a civilized society governed by a President, and not a jungle.
