Commanding Cedi To Rise With 'Silly' Prayers Is Sickening...- Kwesi Pratt Jabs

The men of God in 'cassock' commanding the Cedi to rise through prayers have been taken to the cleaners by the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt.

The Veteran Journalist says it does not make sense for those in 'cassock' to claim that the value of the Cedi is falling simply because Ghanaians are not praying enough and also not praying to the right God.

Without mentioning any man of God, Kwesi Pratt who was contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji talk show fumed saying “this is sickening in the extreme and some of them were heard not too long ago praying so hard for the Cedi to rise”.

Cedi Still Falling

Mr Pratt further averred that in spite of their commands, the Cedi keeps sinking, bemoaning that they don’t appear to be learning; still “shouting” and “disturbing”, humming in the ears of Ghanaians with “silly” prayers which resolve no problem but rather compound them.

Meanwhile, the cedi has depreciated by 8.5 percent since January 2019, reaching a record high of 5.60 in March 2019.
