NPP Government Is Incompetent Even In Telling Lies – Dela Edem

A Communications team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Dela Edem, has described President Akufo-Addo and his government as incompetent even in telling lies.

Speaking on UTV’s late news, the NDC Communicator counselled the ruling party NPP to cease accusing the previous administration of bequeathing them (NDC) with huge debts to pay "as if they (NPP) have never borrowed whiles in government.

“The NPP under President Akufo-Addo should stop blaming us for leaving behind mountains of debt for them to pay . . . In any case, they knew all these through the periodic thesis of their present Vice-President before they promised to make Ghana better than it was, when voted into power,” he said.

According to him, he is highly disappointed in the President for stating he is upset and anxious about the cedi depreciation when his (President's) job is to fix it and not to complain.

“It’s just like a father telling his children that he is upset and anxious because they are hungry, when it is his duty to provide them with food,” he illustrated.

Dela Edem cited that Vice-President Mahamadu Bawumia has now become an albatross around the neck of NPP because his uptitude in government does not match his comments made some years ago.

“Mahamadu Bawumia claimed every government that borrows for development projects is not a suitable government as if they will never borrow when in government. What do we see today, they have already borrowed 53.6 billion Ghana cedis in 2 years whiles the NDC in 4years borrowed 40.1 billion Ghana cedis for developmental projects that every citizen can testify to because they (projects) are visible,” he said.
