Kotoko Back From Zambia After Exit From Confederations Cup Competition

Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned from Zambia on Tuesday, March 19, after failing to progress in the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Confederations Cup competition.

The Porcupine Warriors, arrived by Ethiopian Airlines at 12:00 noon at the Kotoko International Airport.

Kotoko, were defeated 2-1 by Zesco United in the final Group C game in Ndola over the weekend, thereby denying them progress to the next stage of the competition.

Kotoko needed a win to advance to the next stage of the competition, after failing to beat Al Hilal of Sudan in Kumasi. On return three players, Kwame Boateng, Amos Frimpong and Felix Annan are expected to join the senior national team, the Black Stars ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Egypt.
