Otumfuo To Mark 69th Birthday In Church

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will mark his 69th birthday at the St. Cyprians Anglican Church in Kumasi on May 6, 2019.

“Otumfuo will mark his 69th birthday, which is just around the corner at the St.Cyprians Anglican Church in Kumasi,” said Nana Nsuase Poku Agyeman III, Otumfuo’s Akyeamehene at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Akyeamehene made the disclosure while briefing the Asanteman Traditional Council about activities to mark Otumfuo’s 20th anniversary.

Nana Nsuase Poku Agyeman III entreated the traditional leaders in Asanteman and the public to earnestly support Otumfuo on that day.

According to the Akyeamehene, the Asantehene believes that God has been his protector and provider over the years.

“The King therefore wants to use his special day to thank God in church for his numerous blessings,” he said.

The Asantehene recently launched the 20th anniversary of his ascension to the Golden Stool at the Manhyia Palace.
