John Boadu Backs NDC . . . Explains What Happened At IPAC Meeting

The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party, John Boadu says even though the Inter-Party Advisory Committee’ (IPAC) did not discuss the issue of a new voters’ register, they were informed of it.

He has also agreed that the Electoral Commission (EC) should not have indicated that the new voters’ register was discussed at the meeting when it was not.

“They ought to have singled out voters’ register,” he indicated during a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.

Background

A release by the EC after an ‘Inter-Party Advisory Committee’ (IPAC) meeting indicated that it would compile a new voters’ register for the 2020 General Elections.

However, the NDC issued a statement denying contents of the statement saying the decision for a new voters' register was not discussed at the IPAC meeting and further demanded that the EC withdraw what it describes as a “deceptive communique”.
