The two major political parties in the country, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scheduled to have a second meeting in two weeks time.

This follows a first meeting that was held on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the NPP and the NDC met the National Peace Council (NPC) to discuss how to disband vigilante groups associated with the two major political parties.

The two political parties were led by their National Chairmen, NPP's Freddie Worsemao Blay and Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo (NDC).

Speaking to this in an interview on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme, Wednesday, Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Yaw Buabeng Asamoah said there is going to be another meeting on the 29th of April, 2019.

“Venue is yet to be determined,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah was appreciative of the fact that “for the first time we sat down around one table; it has always been adversarial . . . in this instance we sat down for more than four and half hours talking with each other and I think it is a major step forward.”
