Remain In Christ To Enjoy Full Life - Dr Boadi Nyamekye

Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, the General Overseer of The Maker’s House Chapel International, Sunday, urged Christians to remain in Christ to enjoy the abundant life of reconciliation and restoration provided by the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.

With his resurrection, Jesus was restoring all dead situations, such as in spirituality, careers, productivity, dreams and visions, he stated.

Delivering the Easter Sermon at the Destiny House Arena at Kwabenya, in the Ga East District, Dr Boadi Nyamekye said, Jesus was interested in the present status of a man, at any given time, to work with him, and not his past - that was why he received the repentant sinner who was crucified along with him, on his right side.

“Jesus told him, ‘Today you will be with me in paradise’, without making reference to his past record; this means that as long as we walk with him, our salvation is guaranteed”.

The sermon, the climax of a four-day programme, was based on the theme, “The Cross’ Effect”. The cross is the symbol of Christianity and indicates that Christ has fully paid for the sins of man with his blood.

Explaining the significance of the three crosses during the crucifixion of Christ at Golgotha, Dr Boadi Nyamekye said, the one sited to his right represented mankind, while the left one, which carried the sinner who taunted Jesus, represented Satan. Jesus’ cross in the middle symbolized his assignment as the mediator.

His spread arms also indicated his worship to God, his warfare over Hell and witness to mankind, which ended God’s anger against mankind.

Therefore, he said, with those spread hands on the cross and with shedding blood, Jesus, was reaching out to any individual who would touch his blood to establish a covenant with him to become his mediator.

“With the sins of mankind, laid upon him, Jesus secured the passport to hell, on an undercover mission, to recover everything that Satan had stolen from man, which deprives him of enjoying a sin-free abundant life”.

The life of Christ, Dr. Boadi Nyamekye said, also taught important lessons that every born deliverer would suffer a threat against his life to prevent him from succeeding in his mission- be it to save a family, community, nation or the world.

The Lord would, however, protect the righteous from all their afflictions, he declared, just as he did for Moses, Joseph and others.

There was also the lesson of betrayal, especially from close associates, who knew how to cut deep, as just as Judas set Jesus up with a fake display of affection.
