I’ll Still Contest GFA Presidency – George Afriyie

Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie, has reaffirmed his intentions to contest for the presidency of the country’s football governing body when nominations open.

The former Liberty Professionals and Okyeman Planners chief said he will confirm his candidacy after the Normalization Committee completes their mandate.

He, however, urged everyone to focus on the normalization process and ensure a smooth handover.

The Ghana FA is now being run by the four-member committee appointed by FIFA.

Its mandate is to end in September where they are expected to amongst other things supervise an election that will usher in the new GFA administration.
