VGMAs 2019 Brawl: Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy Still In Police Custody - DSP Kwesi Ofori

Director of Operations for the Greater Accra Regional Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kwesi Ofori has confirmed that both Shata Wale and Stonebwoy are still in their custody assisting police with investigations.

According to him, they will inform the public about their next line of action once they are done with investigations.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he confirmed that the two dancehall artistes were still in police custody since their invitation on Sunday..

"We will need to interrogate them for a while before we know our next line of action," he said.

He commended the police and the security personnel who were on duty at the venue of the event for the professional manner they handled the situation, adding that "without them the story would have been different".

If you may recall, Reggae Dancehall Artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy brandished a gun on stage when a free-for-all fight broke out on stage during the Vodafon Ghana Music Awards.

The fight started when Stonebwoy was receiving the reggae dancehall artiste of the year and Shatta Wale followed him on stage. 

Stonebwoy who said he "acted on instinct"; thought his "life was under threat" and that was why he pulled the gun.
