PRESIDENT NANA Akufo-Addo is expected to sign the Right To Information (RTI) Bill into law any moment from now.
He made the announcement about his readiness to sign the Bill today via a tweet, saying “later this morning, I will be giving the constitutionally required assent to the Right To Information Bill passed by Parliament, after 17 years of its introduction.”
The bill was passed by Parliament this year. When assented to by the President, the law will take effect from January 2020.
