Not many Ghanaian artistes openly comment about how many copies of their albums have been sold, especially when there are arguments that the system should make it possible for people to access such information. But new gospel artiste Isaac Wilson, otherwise called Ike, seems to have his own outlook in that regard. The new kid on the block, a Fante native born in Accra but now based in Canada, released his maiden album �Me Nyame� in December last year. Since then, his road to stardom has kept glittering by the day. The album, produced by Jeripher Oppong under Jerivan Music Record Label, has thought-provoking songs such as �W'agye Me�, �Me Nyame�, �Mommra�, �Beko Ma Me�, �Adom�, and �Mmere Pa�. Already two videos from the album for songs �Me Nyame� and �Wagye Me� are rolling on the screens. Ike has since managed to endear himself to music audiences both at home and abroad. He has performed on quite a number of shows in Canada as well as the USA. Back at home he made appearances on Music Music, Soundz Splash and number of radio and TV interviews a few months ago. His publicist, Kelvin Adisi, who also works with Ghanamusic.com and Bola Ray�s Empire Entertainment, told BEATWAVES that his artiste has sold three thousand (3000) copies in two months. �Since the release of the album in December, it has been the talk of the town, offices, and churches. More than three thousand (3000) copies have been sold so far, signifying a massive interest by the public within this short time�, he said. This undoubtedly is one of the alluring achievements for a new and young artiste like Ike. According to Kelvin, the album is not only selling big time, but it has catapulted Ike to the top. �The title track, �Me Nyame� celebrates its week atop the radio chart in Takoradi. In other chart news in Kumasi the soul-soothing, mind-stimulating song jumps to the number 5 position, whilst in the Central Region it moves to the number 3 position. This is one gospel artist that honestly wants his music to do more than simply provide good and clean entertainment. He wants his listeners to get something from the songs that will help them do more than survive life�, Kelvin added.
