NPP Delegates Pick Forms For Nii Noi Nortey To Contest Klottey Korle Parliamentary Seat

Ahead of the parliamentary primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), delegates in Klottey Korle in the Greater Accra Region have picked nomination forms for Valentino Nii Noi Nortey.

The delegates, numbering over 1000 and cladded in NPP paraphernalia, thronged the party's constituency office at Osu Tuesday afternoon and presented a banker’s draft to pay the nomination fee.

Addressing the press, leader of the group who doubles as the Assemblyman for North Adabraka, Abdul Maikano Mumuni said; "Nii Noi has shown faith with Klottey Korle over the years. He's been extremely good to us; paying school fees, medical bills, scholarships, assisting market women with interest-free loans etc and we believe there can be no better time to give him the nod to lead the party than now."

"With Nii Noi, we are confident that the NPP will overturn the 8000 deficit the party suffered in the 2020 parliamentary elections. Nii Noi is a unifier. He's competent, hardworking and a generous personality and that's exactly what the people of Klottey Korle need going into the 2024 general elections," Mumuni added.

The enthusiastic crowd after successfully picking the forms marched from Osu to Asylum Down and presented it to their would-be Parliamentary candidate.

In a brief acceptance speech, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey expressed his profound appreciation to the people of Klottey Korle, especially the NPP delegates for the massive show of love and support and promised to work hard to deliver victory for the party.

The NPP goes to polls from September 23 to December 2, 2023 to elect Parliamentary candidates in orphan constituencies for the 2024 general elections.
