Position On The Ballot Paper Don't Mean Much - Atik Mohammed On NPP Balloting

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held balloting for its flagbearer hopefuls ahead of the special delegates conference on August 26.

The NPP's Elections Committee spokesperson, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, announced the order in which the aspirants will appear on the ballot papers. Ken Ohene Agyapong is number one, followed by Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen at number two, Joe Ghartey at number three, Kwadwo Poku at number four, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto at number five, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong at number six, Francis Addai Nimoh at number seven, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku at number eight, Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko at number nine, and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at number 10.

Speaking to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Atik Mohammed believes the balloting only adds excitement; nothing much.

"As for these numbers they really don't mean much. At the end of the day people are not going to vote based on slogans couched from the numbers. It just adds to the excitement and shows the creativity..."
