It’s Big Selfie Time As ARC Launches The Snap-The-Centre Promo

Phone cameras are clicking day and night at Achimota Retail Centre (Achimota Mall) following the launch of a new promo called ‘Snap the Centre’, a competitive social media campaign in which shoppers get to be gifted with Ghc 500.00 shopping vouchers daily, simply by snapping selfies of themselves in their favourite shops at the mall.

Shoppers must tag their selfies to #AchimotaRetailCentre on Facebook and Instagram to be able to win the Ghc 500.00 voucher. They can go on to clinch double wins if they tag their favourite stores and stated why they fancied shopping at Achimota Retail Centre (ARC).

“Yes….you heard right,” said Kobby Ampong, Marketing Manager at ARC, “just by snapping away a couple of selfies of yourself in your favourite store and tagging #AchimotaRetailCentre, you can walk away with a handsome Ghc500.00 shopping voucher every day until mid-August.”

Ampong said not only could shoppers double their winnings in free shopping vouchers but could also be treated to a lunch ‘on the house’ if they displayed a purchase receipt on the day their selfies are uploaded.

The marketing manager explained that as the most preferred shopping destination within the Ga East municipality, ARC maintains a strong and unchanging tradition of rewarding the loyalty of its customers and regularly tries to infuse some excitement into the shopping experience of its patrons.

The ‘Snap the Centre’ promo follows closely after the presentation of handsome winnings to shoppers in an earlier promo called ‘Rock the Bag’ which, for a month, gave away assorted gift items to participants and ended with shopping vouchers of Ghc 2,000 each for three shoppers and an ultimate prize of Ghc 4,000 which went to Kofi Amoako, a resident of Dome and a regular patron of ARC.

‘Indeed Snap the Centre is essentially a social-media-based promotion and it was largely packaged with our patrons in the young adult bracket in mind. However, it is also meant to bring some fun and excitement to our phone-savvy adults and all visitors at the centre,’ Ampong said.

Easily the most popular open mall in Accra, ARC houses a wide range of Ghanaian and international brands with offerings in different retail categories including, fashion and clothing, electronics, grocery, health and wellness, a children’s games arcade and a range of alluring delicatessen and eateries.

The Centre, now in its eighth year, is located at Dome, off the Accra-Nsawam highway, and has continually delivered modern, secured retail shopping services and quality recreation to communities like Achimota, Dome, Tantra Hills, Taifa, Kwabenya, Ashongman and the entire north-eastern quarter of the capital.
