The Maker's House Chapel To Pay Dialysis Cost Of Patients

The Maker's House Chapel International has pledged to pay the dialysis cost of patients every month at the 37 and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospitals in the Greater Accra Region.

The church, which has since its inception, been assisting people with needs in various areas assured the management of the hospitals that it is prepared to be a part of remedying the challenges with dialysis.

Dialysis which is a procedure to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly has become a huge burden to kidney patients in the nation.

There are reports of hospitals having fewer dialysis machines and it is astronomically costly for many patients to undergo dialysis treatment.

In view of the problems confronting the health sector with particular emphasis on dialysis, The Maker's House Chapel has affirmed its commitment to partner the dialysis centers to provide financial aid to the patients.

The General Overseer of the church, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye announced this at the end of their Experience Conference on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

This year's conference saw a line-up of spiritual luminaries in the persons of Archbishop Duncan Williams of the Action Chapel, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare of Perez Dome, Rev. Steve Mensah of the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), Rev. Ampiah-Kwofi, the President of Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach and General Overseer of the Global Revival Ministries, Rev. Ebenezer Markwei of the Living Streams International and Bishop Frank Ofosu-Appiah who heads the Living Springs International Churches and doubles as the Senior Pastor of All Nations Church.

The programme commenced from Sunday, October 1 - 8th with thousands of believers thronging The Maker's House Chapel (Destiny Arena) situated at Atomic adjacent the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences.

The Maker's House Chapel has been undertaking numerous generous activities; the church during the lockdown season of the COVID-19 pandemic donated food items worth over a million dollars to over 10000 homes in Ghana.

It also provides educational scholarships to students, free health aids to patients and business opportunities to a lot of people both within the church and outside.

Dr. Boadi Nyamekye pledged the church's readiness to support the dialysis patients on monthly basis.

"We were the first church that initiated the feeding of the people during COVID and it made others join and even government came in. We fed over 10000 homes...The amount of money we spent during COVID on the poor and needy was in excess of a million dollars. That's what the church did. We have scholarships; we do all of that even till today.

"God laid on our hearts. People have been complaining about the dialysis cost. The church in collaboration with others here, Tuesday, we are going to 37 and Korle Bu; the monies that you have given, we are going to the national dialysis centers at 37 and Korle Bu to support government because we are in times where the church must also lead the way", he avowed.

Fortunately during the service on Sunday was in attendance the Chief Executive Officer of the Korle-Bu Hospital, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah, who joined the last day of the Experience Conference and was elated to hear the good news of the church.

He expressed his profound gratitude saying "on behalf of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital and our numerous patients, we would like to thank you so much for you know this gesture because there are many people whose lives literally depend on going for dialysis and it's very heartbreaking to see them very frustrated, very anxious wondering what is going to happen to them next because of lack of funding, so this is really is God's work".

Dr. Boadi Nyamekye reinforced that the church will not renege on its promise.

"...we are coming to give you money to support the poor who cannot pay for their dialysis; people who cannot afford...and this is our pledge to you and your unit, every month, we will be bringing you money to help the people who need it," he emphasized.
