Are You Not Already Divided? Kwesi Pratt Asks NPP After Call for Unity

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged all parliamentary contestants to work together with unity, commitment, and dedication towards securing victory in the upcoming elections on December 7, 2024.

“Let's stand united to make history on December 7,” it said, adding, “As we embark on the journey towards December 2024, let us engage in constructive dialogue, foster a culture of mutual respect, and prioritize the well-being of the people we aim to serve.”

Kwesi Pratt Jnr. is questioning whether the plea for unity has not come too late.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Kwesi Pratt Jnr. said: "I've been hearing the NPP calling for unity after the elections, but then I ask: is the party not already divided? What are you doing to bring back those who have already left the party, like Alan Kyerematen and his Afrafranto? Can suspension bring unity? One candidate has also decided to go independent after the party's recent election. So which unity are they talking about?"
