Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly known as Opanyin Agyekum, has issued a caution to politicians during the campaign season as the December 2024 general elections approach. 

According to the former Head of the Linguistics Department, politicians must be measured in the things they say during their campaign period. 

Reacting to the New Patriotic Party's Campaign team inaugurated by the National Execurive Council (NEC), Opanyin Agyekum noted that, "there is nothing wrong" with having the incumbent President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo and the former President John Agyekum Kufuor as Campaign Advisors, considering the loads of experience they will bring on board. 

"All persons who have been named as Campaing Team officials must be committed to the work. It is not enough to be recognised as a campaign team member. Your goal is to win Power''.

''Nonetheless, be measured in your utterenaces. One word can destroy the entire campaign. It is more painful to see your hardwork go down the drain," he added.
