TV3s 'Pulpit' Heats Up

Contestants on TV3s most innovative gospel reality show, The Pulpit are putting up some astonishing performances. The past week, they confidently appealed to all and sundry to pursue forgiveness in order to promote national unity. All of them preached on forgiveness but had their unique themes such as You Must Forgive; The Value Of Forgiveness, Forgive And To Be Forgiven, Jesus, An Example Of Forgiveness etc and memory verses to buttress their messages. Their message was very emphatic as they urged everyone to forgive one another because unforgiveness causes a lot of destructions in our life, as well as retard development in our nation when there are misunderstandings among politicians. The contestants, in their sermons, gave practical examples which went well with the studio audience as they cheered them. The contestants, in their sermons, cautioned society, especially politicians to forgive their opponents. Collins Frimpong Kwartey, a contestant, called on persons whose husbands or wives have been snatched to take it easy, adding, it isnt a palatable experience. He urged all couples to pursue forgiveness, irrespective of how painful their experiences may be, and find a way in their hearts to forgive and move on with their lives. It is really fascinating how these young kids address the issues of couples as if they have been married before; but their ability to talk about marriage boils down to the fact that arguments that crop up between parents are not pleasant as one kid calls it unpalatable experience. Comments from faculty members were very critical ones meant to shape the children to become future vessels for the gospel. Generally, faculty members were impressed with their performance and confidence level of these young ones. They commended Angel Gabriel Agyeman on his knowledge about Jee Adams who talked about the oil and machine. They cautioned contestants who chose difficult memory verses and could not elaborate to the fullest. The supporting choir did extremely well. They were able to get the studio audience to flow with them since the songs were quite known and everyone danced to them. The presenter, Azigiza, did marvelously well with his humor-like attitude. He stated that TV3 is using the pulpit platform to train pastors. He emphasized that The Pulpit was introduced to raise models in the fear of the Lord and to teach children the way of the Lord. They concluded that forgiveness is a command not a choice. Forgiveness takes away all bitterness, protects us from high blood pressure and fosters unity in all mankind. One contestant best put it as hate the offense but not the offenders. Next week Sunday, from 8:00pm, the contestants will mount the TV3 studio B stage again, this time to preach on Giving.
