"Ghanaians Know The NDC Is Not Corrupt"

A vociferous activist of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), says the Ghanaian people know in whose hands they dare not entrust their future; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye said President J.E.A. Mills had proven to be an honest, humble, God-fearing leader which is what Ghana needs unlike the NPP and its flag-bearer who were noted for their comic relief and blatant calumny. Speaking on Multi TVs Majority Caucus, Mr Kwakye said the NPP, stunned by the massive infrastructural projects which have taken President Mills on a commissioning streak, activated their agenda of falsehood to deceive the citizenry as they are wont to do. He said claims by the NPP that the Kufuor government built six-unit classroom blocks at GH₵84,000 were blatant lies consistent with the nature of Ghana biggest opposition party. Mr Felix Kwakye, described as an oil analyst, said the erstwhile NPP government spent a whopping GH₵90,000 to put up a two-unit kindergarten school block, and wondered how the same government could claim to have spent GH₵84,000 to construct a six-unit classroom block. Contributing to a discussion on the topic, Exposing the lies of the NPP; Another reason to choose President Mills and the NPP, the Special Assistant to the Minister of Trade said the NPP government in some instances spent GH₵150,000 on six-unit classroom blocks, citing some school projects undertaken by the NPP to back his claims. Describing the Minority Leader of Parliament, Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who raised the issue of government spending GH₵240,000 to build a six-unit classroom block in some cases as a liar, Mr Kwakye said he was shocked that a man of the Suame MPs stature would go peddling lies in order to undermine the NDC government. Justifying the amounts spent on a six-unit classroom block, Mr Kwakye said the new classroom blocks were built with superior specifications. He said the amounts were high also because they were built under urgency which meant they had to work round the clock. Deputy Interior Minister, Mr Kobby Acheampong who was also on the show, supported Mr Kwakyes arguments. He explained that the facilities being built by the NDC government were all fitted with ceilings, tiled and air-conditioners in the staff common rooms. Ghanaians know the NDC is not corrupt. We are committed to prudently managing this countrys resources, Mr Felix Kwakye asserted. He said unlike former President Kufuor who spent the nations resources to buy gold chains to hang on his neck, making himself an embarrassment to the country, President Mills had demonstrated he is a selfless leader and Ghanaians have confidence in him. The host of the show, Mr Stan Dogbe said the NPP while in government cited the catching of a live deer for the Aboakyer Festival of the chiefs and people of Efutu as an achievement. In his view, the NPPs lie could not have been bettered. He told a caller who maintained that the show should be used to tell Ghanaians what the NDC government was doing to better their lives and not for propaganda, that you cannot tell us what to do with the platform. We have decided to use the platform to expose the lies of the NPP. Sorry for our NPP viewers who fell very uncomfortable about the facts we are putting out, he said.
