Mills' Campaign Team Knelt And Begged For Votes - FONKAR

Nana Konadus campaign team is alleging that National Executives of the NDC as well as members of President Mills campaign team have resorted to literally going down on their knees to beg delegates to vote against the former first lady. Campaign Coordinator Numburr Berrick alleges in an interview with Citi News that the alleged kneeling and begging method of campaigning adopted by President Mills team is borne out of desperation to save President Mills the embarrassment of losing Saturdays presidential primaries. Mr. Berrick made the revelation in reaction to an Enquirer publication which claimed that former President Rawlings bribed some party delegates with meat-pie and 20 Ghana cedis each at his residence on Monday. He described the papers allegation as demeaning and said In the Ashanti Region they had to go on their knees begging the delegates telling them that they were sorry they made that mistake and that they would not repeat it. Why are they now begging after they supported the declarations that took place?" "They were meeting the delegates at a particular hotel and apart from His Excellency, most of the people had to go on their knees". "The delegates called us to tell us this.." "You think we have never eaten meat-pie before, I did not go there because I wanted meat pie, I did not go there because of 20 cedis". "Why would we say that they went there to be bribed with meat pie and 20 cedis?" he asked.
