Recently in the media, Dr. Obed Asamoah, Bede Zeiden and other National Executives of DFP have signaled their intent to re-join NDC. We, some leading regional and constituency executives of DFP representing the grass root feel marginalized and betrayed and are disassociating our selves from such declarations on the grounds that: 1. After the 2008 General elections the founder Dr. Obed Asamoah made it clear in the publications that he was tired and therefore retires from politics and cannot finance a party so we should make our own decisions regarding our future. 2. When was the last time National, Regional and constituency met? 3. Is there even a DFP? The party�s office are nonfunctional. 4. Since then, we have been organizing ourselves, slowly, painfully to find an appropriate direction. 5. Dr. Obed Asamoah and Bede Zeiden can�t make decision for us without consulting the grassroot members, which are the back bone of every Political party. 6. They have every right to make their personal choices, we also will exercise our right to make our choices.
