Why British Airways Apologized To The Royal Couple

So, you know how the Royal Couple flew commercial back to London from Los Angeles? It turns out that the in-flight entertainment in first class of the British Airways plane was broken for the 10-hour flight and the royals have been given duty-free coupons for the trouble. The Daily Mail reports that British Airways reimbursed the power couple with $300 worth of duty-free vouchers to compensate for the lack of entertainment on the transatlantic flight. BA released a statement to the Daily Mail stating: "Unfortunately a fault with some parts of the aircraft's in-flight entertainment system couldn't be fixed before the aircraft took off from Los Angeles. We apologize to everyone affected and have offered customers either a voucher or frequent flyer miles to say sorry." The Duke and Duchess were apparently "relaxed and friendly" on the journey, despite having nothing to do for 10 hours. There's been no official word on what other passengers have been compensated for their troubles, but we gotta ask, what in the world are Will and Kate going to do with duty-free coupons?
