A 28-year-old female robber has been arrested by the Adenta District Police command for robbing a man and his wife at Nmai-Dzon, a suburb Accra. The suspect, Esther Tornyevah, allegedly attacked the couple�s residence on July 12, 2011 with two knives, locked the wife up in the toilet and bolted with some amount of money and other valuable items while the husband was away. The items stolen included a laptop, a digital camera, two mini packs of rice, Black Berry mobile phone, a box of chocolate and an amount of GH�2,001. The suspect was however arrested at her hideout at Korle-Gonno, Accra, upon a tip-off. Confirming the story to Daily Guide, Adenta District Police Commander, DSP Stephen Ahiatafu, indicated that suspect Esther Tornyevah was employed by the couple but only worked with them for a week. The couple, with their six-months-old baby, lived with the suspect at Nmai Dzon near Adenta, before the incident.On that fateful day, the husband left for the market to purchase some food stuffs, leaving the wife and the child with the suspect. Around 1:30pm on July 12, 2011, the woman was nursing the baby in the sitting room when all of a sudden suspect Tornyevah popped up holding two knives in her hands. At knife point, she ordered the woman to put the baby down and marched her to the toilet and locked her up.
