Obama's Big Ideas For Daughter's First Car

While the President isn't too worried about aging himself ("Michelle still thinks I'm cute," he reassured NPR), he does have concerns about his daughters growing up too fast. According to CNN, on Friday in a speech to members of the auto industry, Obama quipped: "It's only a matter of time until Malia gets her learner's permit. So I'm hoping to see one of those models that gets a top speed of 15 miles an hour. The ejector seat any time boys are in the car. So, hopefully you guys have some of those in the pipeline." Dads can be so humiliating. It's not the first time Obama has voiced his anxiety over his daughters' teenage years, especially with Malia turning 13 a few weeks ago. The Dad-in-Chief told "Good Morning America" back in June, "A great incentive for running for reelection is that means they never get in a car with a boy who had a beer. And that's a pretty good thing." When asked what might happen if a potential suitor came knocking, he previously told cameras, "I might invite him over to the Oval Office, ask him for his GPA, find out what his intentions are in terms of career," adding, "Malia and Sasha, if you're watching this, I'm just joking." Just a dad being overprotective of his daughters...and seriously embarrassing them in the meantime. Sounds about right to us.
