Mr Kwasi Nkansah-Amaniampong, a businessman, has declared his intention to contest the Akyem Oda constituency parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Mr Nkansah-Amaniampong told the GNA that when the going was tough in 2004 and members were not going forward to face Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, the then Member of Parliament for the constituency, he came forward to stand on the ticket of the NDC. �I have already been marketed in the constituency and have cordial relations with the chiefs, the elderly and the youth,� he said. Mr Nkansah-Amaniampong appealed to the constituency delegates to vote for him in the primary to become the party�s prliamentary candidate to capture the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
