A former PNC Member of Parliament for Zebilla constituency in the Upper East region, John Akparibo Ndebugre, has predicted that the four-time flagbearer of the party, Dr. Edward Mahama, will poll 0. 5 per cent if he holds on to his plans to contest for the fifth time. According to the former first national chairman of the party, Dr. Mahama has virtually destroyed the party after having hijacked it and used it for his own personal gains and succeeded in making the party a non-entity. �He will get 0. 5 per cent that is the highest he will get if he goes for the fifth time,� Ndebugre predicted. �They have reduced the party to nothing. The party does not exist neither in law nor in fact. � His comments follow Dr. Mahama�s announcement to go for a fifth time as the party�s flagbearer that has been received with grave concerns from party executives including Dr Somtim Tobiga. Commenting on internal bickering that has hit the PNC on the Citi Breakfast Show on Thursday, Ndebugre said he is not surprised by the murky relationship affecting the leadership front because Tobiga among others failed to support him when he raised the issue previously over Dr. Mahama�s decision to file for a fourth time. According to him the current crop of PNC members are not serious and are only there for personal reasons. �Dr. Tobiga and some others were the people who did not see reason with me when I raised these same legal issues against Dr. Mahama hijacking the party and using it for personal purposes, now the chickens have come home to roost and they are now at each other�s throat,� Ndebugre observed. �It is not surprising also because this people in the PNC are not serious people. We formed the party with a vision to provide alternate leadership in this country. After Hilla Liman�s death, Dr Mahama hijacked the party and started using the party to trade. �I have a document on how they have misused the party�s money and all that�he is just going round and collecting money in the name of the party and accounting to nobody. It is sad because we formed the party with purpose which they have destroyed. The party only exists only in the electoral commission,� Ndebugre added.
